Pete O'Donahue's Heli captured with a stunning backdrop courtesy of Jon Sayers
Pete Humphries Curtiss Wright Junior CW-1 The original aircraft first flew in 1930 and was used for aerial photography. The camera man sat in the front seat with no obstructions hence the unusual shape. Someone in the USA modelled it in December 1971. I purchased the plan from the Model Builder in 1976 and started building it in the early 1980s to be powered by an OS 40. I came across in the loft earlier this year and decided to convert it to electric. It is now powered by a Thumper 4250. To the spectators it appeared to fly great. However Clive did say it kept him on his toes so I assume it's a bit of an handful.
